    Having secured €140,000 for a project to enhance pupil performance in solving problems within mathematics, CSSC were delighted that teachers from Kilcooley Primary School and Bangor Academy and Sixth Form College participated in the project.

    To Estonia in search of school improvement

    The CSSC Erasmus+ funded programme to Finland and Estonia took place 2-9 November 2019 as part of the organisation’s Building Capacity programme.

    From Finland the group travelled to Estonia, which has a high performing education system. The rationale for the visit to Estonia was to learn more about the approach to self-evaluation and school improvement.

    This visit is an integral part of the CSSC Building Capacity programme where senior leaders seek to embed evidence-based practice, conduct rigorous self-evaluation and promote school improvement.

  6. Aware NI visit Limavady High School on World Mental Health Day

    Congratulations to Year 13 pupils at Limavady High School on completion of the Mood Matters course. Catherine McColgan, Education and Training Officer, Aware NI visited the school to make this special presentation to pupils and Mr Darren Mornin, Principal, Limavady High School.

  7. Healthy Harry and Sneezy Suzy secure Points of Light award to Lurgan classroom assistant

    Ryan Wilson, special needs classroom assistant and past pupil of Carrick Primary School, Lurgan has received Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s daily Point of Light award which recognises outstanding individuals making a difference where they live.

  8. Congratulations to Beryl on retirement after almost 33 years’ service

    Congratulations to Beryl Beggs on her retirement. Beryl was the lunch time supervisor at Rathcoole Primary School and Nursery Unit completing nearly 33 years’ service.

  9. Ballykelly Primary School awarded prestigious eco-school green flag

    Ballykelly Primary School in Co. Londonderry has been awarded a prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag by the environmental charity Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. 

  10. Banbridge Academy pupil is a semi-finalist in BBC Chorister of the Year 2020

    Leah Radcliffe, Year 13 student at Banbridge Academy, has reached the semi-finals of the BBC Chorister of the Year 2020 singing competition. Leah is one of only 5 girls and 5 boys selected from hundreds who auditioned across the UK.
