  1. Controlled schools’ advocacy body giving confidence in uncertain time

    It’s been a successful year for the Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC), but the current financial shortfall in school budgets is adding unpreceded pressure to an already stretched controlled schools’ sector.

  2. Raising standards in controlled schools to meet the skills gap

    Over 50 delegates from schools across Northern Ireland braved the bitterly cold temperatures to attend CSSC’s raising standards conference on Wednesday 28 February in Craigavon.

  4. Cause for celebration over GCSE results at Castlederg High School

    Further confirming its reputation as a high performing, non-selective post-primary school, Castlederg High School has been placed 5th in the non-grammar GCSE league table published by The Irish News on Monday 19 February.

    The exam success rates of local schools at GCSE and A Level have been released by the Department of Education.
