  7. What’s the (gender) difference?: Views on male primary teachers from three Controlled primary school communities

    CSSC recently collaborated with the Centre for Research in Educational Underachievement on a pilot research project investigating views on male primary teachers.  CSSC also took part in a podcast that has been launched to accompany the report. The gender difference podcast can be accessed here.

    Moat Primary School Primary 7 pupils recently celebrated the school’s Ditch the Dark Day.

  9. Minister praises community partnership programme

    Abbey Community College students (Curtis and Jade pictured above) met with Education Minister, Mr Peter Weir on a recent visit to Monkstown Boxing Club. The Minister praised an ‘education in the community’ programme aimed at improving educational achievement for young people.

  10. Roddensvale School receive Silver Award

    Roddensvale School is proud to be the first school in Northern Ireland to be awarded a Silver Attachment and Trauma Sensitive School Award. The award recognises the commitment of the school and the steps staff take to develop a culture of compassion and nurture, which plays a pivotal role in preparing children and young people for learning.
