Once again Limavady High School celebrate fundraising success, this time Year 11A1 raising £1,000 for Marie Curie by walking 10,000 steps a day.

Support came from local business and the Education Authority to transform the once overgrown and unused area into a haven for nature and a place of learning for pupils. 

Congratulations go to Knockevin Special School who acquired their Social School Award for their reflective and needs-driven approach to using social media.

To act as link officer for a number of schools and provide support to those schools; to provide expertise in a specific area of responsibility for the controlled sector and play a key part in contributing to the educational support role of the CSSC.

The NI Cyber Security Centre is working with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to encourage schools in Northern Ireland to apply to the CyberFirst Schools accreditation programme by 18 June 2021.

Knockevin has been recognised by the Cyber Security Centre as a bronze CyberFirst School and is the first ever Special School to gain this status.

Budding young entrepreneurs from Year 13 represented Banbridge Academy in the most recent Young Enterprise Company Programme, with ‘Monkey Business Sweets’ achieving the ‘Digital Marketing Award’ as well as ‘Overall Runner Up’ in the Young Enterprise Big Market Competition.

Limavady Grammar staff recently engaged in a keep fit challenge to raise money for charity.  This helped raise staff morale, stay healthy and keep positive.

Shaftesbury Nursery School recently walked and ran 50 miles (or maybe even more!) to raise funds to support the work of Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND) charity in memory of School Governor, Mr Colm Davis who sadly passed away in January.

At Saintfield High School each and every child is treated as an individual. Staff, both teaching and non-teaching, have invested time and creative resources to meet the personal holistic needs of all pupils.
