Killicomaine Junior High School won the inaugural Under 14 High Schools’ Shield at Queens University playing fields, defeating Dromore High School in a fast paced competitive match. This year, the competition has taken a new format, moving away from a one-day ‘blitz’ style tournament, to 50-minute group stage matches, semi-finals and a final played on a finals day.
Further to the letter from the Department of Education issued this week regarding the budget position for 2018/19 and the share for each school, concerns are being raised with CSSC that, despite their best efforts, schools will continue to struggle to balance their books within their budget allocation this year.
