The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) congratulates all those from the education sector recognised in the 2025 New Year Honours list including all who have worked in or contributed to educating children and young people in the controlled sector. Honours are given to people from all walks of life and all sections of society who have made a difference in their community. 

The Education Minister established the Ministerial Taskforce in September 2024, comprising representatives from the Department of Education, the Education Authority and the Controlled Schools' Support Council.

The Taskforce led in the development of a proposed model for support for controlled schools.
