Fleming Fulton pupil Zoe receives Blue Peter badge

These take pride of place in Zoe’s home and are treasured awards. There are eight Blue Peter badges to achieve in total, each requiring different skills and talents.

Zoe has been shielding at home during the pandemic, however this has not stopped her learning new skills. Zoe has mastered pizza making and loves to bake chocolate cakes for her family. Zoe wrote to Blue Peter to tell them about her new skills and was awarded her ‘blue’ badge.

This award encouraged Zoe to apply for a Blue Peter ‘green badge’. Green Badges are awarded for becoming a Blue Peter Climate Hero and completing three pledges to help the environment, for at least two weeks.

Whilst in P7 Zoe led an assembly on the danger of plastic to our wildlife, she encourages her family to save energy whenever possible. Zoe insists on recycling and on Earth Day used torch light to brush her teeth and read her book! That’s dedication and clearly displays how keen she is to do all she can to save our planet.

Fleming Fulton School is a school for pupils with a physical disability. Many pupils have an associated learning difficulty and/or medical need and/or sensory need. Pupils attend from age 3 – 19 years old.

Zoe is a real inspiration to everyone. Attaining both badges is quite an achievement. It is clear that Zoe possesses amazing strength and determination. The sky is the limit!
