Contributions from all presenters emphasised the positive impact of playful learning on children’s literacy and numeracy skills as well as children’s physical and emotional health and wellbeing. Key messages emphasises the need for children to be allowed the freedom to play and for parents to be supported in facilitating play in the home environment.
Tracey Woods, Schools’ Support Officer said,
“‘The event highlighted the value of play and the contribution it makes to children’s development. This showcased an excellent example of collaboration at its best with presenters sharing practical tips and ideas that can be used by other settings. I am delighted that a recording of this webinar is available for others to be able to share in this learning.”
