What’s the (gender) difference?: Views on male primary teachers from three Controlled primary school communities

CSSC recently collaborated with the Centre for Research in Educational Underachievement on a pilot research project investigating views on male primary teachers.  CSSC also took part in a podcast that has been launched to accompany the report. The gender difference podcast can be accessed here.

Barry Mulholland, Chief Executive, CSSC stated,

“This is an important but complex area. Consideration should be given to strategically and proactively encouraging trainee male teachers to work with younger age ranges.

“The study is welcomed by CSSC and we are very proud to be part of it. This has raised issues that need further investigation and CSSC look forward to being a part of that.

“There is no doubt that the correlation of this information and a growing understanding of the subject matter is critically important and provides an important insight when policy is being developed.”
