CSSC congratulates the staff, teachers, Principals and governors of controlled schools in maintaining continuity of learning and support for pupils during recent times. Education has only continued throughout the lockdown period due to the immense contribution of all controlled school staff.

Hezlett Primary School pupils have been engaging in lots of learning activities to keep motivated since lockdown commenced on 23 March.

The Larne and Inver Primary School community decided to say ‘thank you’ to all of the key workers during the early stages of lockdown.

Throughout lockdown children across Northern Ireland have been producing art work for teachers from home. This has not been without its challenges due to the practical nature of Art and Design as a subject.

The children of Drumgor Primary School in Craigavon have embraced remote learning. Google Classroom proves to be a valuable teaching aid for the KS1 and KS2 teachers and the whole school join together for themed weekly challenges.

To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, the school focused on their emotional health and wellbeing.

Year 7 pupils at Strandtown Primary School were engaged in their World around Us (WAU) topic.

Staff and students from Coleraine College worked hard to keep connected with their students and families this year.
