  1. Board of Directors

    The Directors, representing schools, those from a public appointments process and the Transferor Representatives’ Council. Council members will serve for four years. There are six representatives from controlled schools. This includes representatives for each phase: nursery, special, primary, secondary and grammar schools. 

  2. Improving educational outcomes in controlled schools

    The Controlled School Support Council’s (CSSC’s) aspiration is for all controlled schools to demonstrate ‘very good’ to ‘outstanding’ educational provision for our children and young people.

  5. CSSC staff raise £400 for Cancer Focus NI

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) staff put the kettle on for the first fundraising event in aid of this year’s charity partner Cancer Focus NI in May.  

  6. Believe, achieve, succeed - Abbey goes from strength to strength

    Abbey Community College students have celebrated academic excellence again with tremendous GCSE and A-level results in August 2018. The upward trend in overall results has continued for the second consecutive year. 

  7. Final call for 2019 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition entries

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) and BT are reminding post-primary school students to keep their eyes on the prize as the deadline for entries for the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) fast approaches on 25 September.

  9. Markethill High School students break new records at GCSE

    Markethill High Schools’ pupils have this year posted record GCSE results, with twenty pupils receiving 5 or more A*/A grades.

  10. Lisneal celebrates record breaking GCSE results

    There was a celebratory mood in Lisneal College on Thursday 23 August when pupils received their GCSE results and it wasn’t surprising as 95% of pupils achieved five or more A*-C grades.
