Dunclug Primary School Wins Prestigious International Award

Dunclug Primary School, a controlled school located in Ballymena has been awarded the British Council's International School Award for its exceptional work bringing global perspectives into the classroom.

The school earned recognition through its Modern Languages programme for Key Stage Two pupils, language taster sessions and a longstanding partnership with a school in Kenya.

School Principal Alastair Beacom said: "We are delighted to have been awarded the highest level of the International School Award. I am incredibly proud of our children and staff who demonstrate respect for cultural diversity on a daily basis and share a passion for exploring different languages and building meaningful connections with schools around the world."

The International School Award, which began in 1999, has been presented to over 6,000 UK schools. It recognises schools that develop an international ethos, collaborative work with partner schools abroad, and year round global activities.
