  1. Taking Boys Seriously - addressing underachievement

    The first Taking Boys Seriously joint conference organised by Ulster University, The Controlled Schools’ Support Council and the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools took place on Wednesday 17 October 2018.

    CSSC has today welcomed Northern Ireland's first shared education week which takes place from 8 to 12 October 2018.

  5. Information session on Erasmus+ funding

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) was pleased to secure €140,000 to deliver its international Erasmus+ project.

  6. Erasmus+ project - exploring problem solving

    The next event for the Controlled Schools Support Council’s (CSSC’s) international Erasmus+ project will be held on 8 - 10 October in Trinity College Dublin.

  7. Board of Directors

    The Directors, representing schools, those from a public appointments process and the Transferor Representatives’ Council. Council members will serve for four years. There are six representatives from controlled schools. This includes representatives for each phase: nursery, special, primary, secondary and grammar schools. 

  8. Improving educational outcomes in controlled schools

    The Controlled School Support Council’s (CSSC’s) aspiration is for all controlled schools to demonstrate ‘very good’ to ‘outstanding’ educational provision for our children and young people.

  9. Controlled schools join the mTech.Academy

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) attended the launch of the mTech.Academy 2018/2019 programme on Thursday 20 August in Belfast.
