  1. CSSC congratulates King's Birthday Honours recipients

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) congratulates all recipients from the education sector recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list, with a special mention to those honoured in the controlled sector. Honours are given to people from all walks of life and all sections of society who have made a difference to their community.

  2. CSSC and CCMS welcome the commencement of work on Ballycastle shared education campus

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) and Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) congratulate Ballycastle High School and Cross and Passion College on the official first sod cutting of their shared education campus in Ballycastle. The creation of this campus shows the strength of shared education collaboration between the two schools in guaranteeing that the children and young people of Ballycastle will continue to have the opportunity to join together in a shared future.

  6. Principal Designate of Causeway Academy meets with staff

    As part of the lead-in to the opening of Causeway Academy, the staff teams of Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College had a shared development day on 27 August 2024 at Ulster University. The day was an opportunity for the staff teams to meet each other and to meet the Principal Designate, Ruth Harkness.

    CSSC is highlighting this opportunity to controlled schools to attend an online information session by Safeguarding Board NI.

  8. Shared Future: construction begins at Strule Shared Education Campus

    Construction of the Strule Shared Education Campus recently began in Omagh.

    The campus brings together six schools from across the community, including secondary, grammar, and special school provision, accommodating over 4,000 children and young people from all backgrounds.

  10. Carrickfergus Grammar School named as Families First 2024 ‘School of the Year’

    Congratulations to Carrickfergus Grammar School who were named as the Families First 2024 'School of the Year' for the Northern Region. The controlled school outperformed competition from 11 other deserving finalists in this region to win.
