CSSC's Ethos & Leadership programme Building Capacity modules address a critical strategic priority in a School Development Plan focused on improving learning and teaching through an action research model. These modules delve into four themes:

1. Supporting and developing an ethos of continuous improvement in order to effect change.

2. Rigorous self-evaluation including an investigation of quality assurance tools that may be used to identify strengths and priorities for improvement.

3. Research-informed practices that impact significantly on learning.

4. Lessons from international models of school improvement.

Hear from Jonny Clarke, Banbridge Academy, a former participant of the programme, as he shares how his involvement positively influenced his controlled school and the wider school community.

CSSC’s vision is to empower controlled schools to serve their communities by enriching the lives of their children and young people.
