CSSC reiterates its support for children and young people being educated together and stresses that Council’s concern is not with the intent of the Bill but with its content. As is the case with many issues there is not one perspective that reflects the context for all controlled schools.
Stay informed
All stakeholders within a school's community need to stay informed about the changes in how controlled schools will be supported. All Chairs, Vice Chairs and Board of Governors should register for critical communications from CSSC. Please share link with all controlled school Governors.
This conference will provide an introduction to the role and contribution of CSSC as a support and advocacy body for controlled schools. The conference will consider ethos in controlled schools and the importance of the relationship between the Board of Governors and principal.
Deadline for responses to Independent Review of Education Survey is 4 February.
UK-German Connection is offering £1,000 bursaries to help keep school partnerships alive in 2022! These can fund visits to partner schools and joint/virtual activities.
Pupils at Cairnshill Primary School, Mossley Primary School and Waringstown Primary School were the first to enjoy CSSC’s programme of sign language workshops delivered recently by our tutor Anthony Sinclair.
