Springfield Primary School enjoyed great success at the recent Families First NI annual awards, claiming two of the top awards.

A new Parent and Afterschool Centre has been opened today in Kilcooley Primary School and Nursery Unit, Bangor.

Representatives from the Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) attended the recent Parentkind Northern Ireland Parents’ Parliament events.

It was a momentous occasion on Friday 20 September for the village of Augher, with the opening of a community multi use games area (MUGA) pitch to be shared between Augher Central Primary School, Augher Playing Fields Association and Augher Stars.

The advocacy body for almost half of Northern Ireland’s schools has today, Friday 11 October 2019, published its three-year corporate plan, setting out its objectives and foundations for success.

Permanent Secretary, Derek Baker, visited Millington on Tuesday 24 September where he met Mrs Murray Principal of Millington Primary School together with staff and pupils.

Banbridge Academy celebrated the European Day of Languages. The staff and pupils embraced the day with a range of food and culture, as well as taking the opportunity to dress for the day!!

CSSC has welcomed two new permanent full time staff to the education support team. Andrew Brown and Derek Harkness join the organisation in their new roles as School Support Officers (SSOs) to work alongside colleagues Jill Brown, Heather McKenzie and Tracey Woods to complete the education team, led by Jayne Millar, Head of Education Support.
