Opportunities for international partnerships

Attention all Principals! Under the Connecting Classrooms programme funded by the British Council and the Department for International Development, there are currently the following opportunities:

British Council and Connecting Classrooms logos
  • grant-funded International School Partnerships with schools in Africa, Asia and the Middle East
  • free in-school CPD courses on Global Learning themes which complement Sustainable Development Goals.  

CPD courses are accessible to all schools, whether you are involved in an International Partnership or not.

The Centre for Global Education, funded by the British Council and the Department for International Development, is already successfully delivering the Connecting Classrooms Through Global Learning programme in Northern Ireland.  Over 60 primary, post-primary and special schools are already involved.

Come along and find out more at one of the October information sessions held across Northern Ireland, details of which are below. 

Tuesday 22 October:          2.30-4pm        Enniskillen Business Centre/Ballybot House, Newry
Wednesday 23 October:     2.30-4pm        All Saints’ Conference Centre, Ballymena/Play Resource Centre, Belfast
Thursday 24 October:         2.30-4pm        Cookstown Leisure Centre/St Columb’s Park House, Derry
