“Pupils will find there is now a wide range of options available for them, whether they choose to continue to study at school or college, transfer to further education institutions or enter the world of work.

“I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of Principals, teachers and other school staff for the ongoing support they have given pupils.  This is fundamental to enabling young people to achieve their potential.

“As we celebrate pupils’ success and achievements, it is also important to remind ourselves that Northern Ireland’s education system continues to face significant financial challenge, and to again highlight that appropriate investment in both schools and the teaching profession is essential.

“A successful education system with all young people achieving their potential is not just an aspiration; it is essential for the future of our society.”
