The ICT Excellence Awards 2026 – Celebrating Northern Ireland's Digital Innovators

CSSC congratulates the controlled schools across Northern Ireland recognised for their outstanding use of digital technology in teaching and learning at the ICT Excellence Awards 2026.

ICT Excellence Awards 2026

This year's theme, Making a Difference for Learners, highlights the real and lasting impact that thoughtful technology integration can have on educational outcomes. The awards, in partnership with Capita, celebrate the creativity, leadership and dedication of teachers and learners across primary, post-primary, nursery, special schools and EOTAS centres.

CSSC is proud to congratulate the following controlled schools on their achievements:

Primary schools
Joint winner: Strabane Controlled Primary School 
Highly commended: Groggan Primary School (Antrim) and Millington Primary School (Portadown)

Special Schools
Winner: Clifton Special School (Bangor)
Highly commended: Cedar Lodge Special School (Belfast) and Knockavoe Special School (Strabane)

Post Primary School
Highly commended: Boys' Model School (Belfast)
