This marks a continuing improvement trend, as it’s the fifth year in a row that Regent has published its best A level results.

In 2019, 93% of students achieved at least 3 A*-C grades compared to 86% in 2018.  Only two schools in N Ireland scored higher than this in summer 2018.

In addition, 99% of female students achieved at least 3 A*-C grades, 68% of students achieved at least 3 A*-B grades (minimum entry to QUB) compared to 62% in 2018, and 83% of grades achieved were A*, A or B compared to 78% in 2018.

Thirty five students gained at least 3 A grades, 5 of whom achieved at least 3A* grades

Mr Carville, Principal of Regent House said,

“I am exceptionally proud of the results of the A Level class of 2019. They, and their teachers, worked with exceptional dedication to achieve their fantastic results. They are a credit to themselves, their families and to Regent House. Exciting times lie ahead!”

Cool FM reporter Sasha Wylie visited Regent House to speak to pupils about their results and future plans.  She interviewed Dr Collins, Head of Careers, and Mr Carville, and the reports were on news bulletins throughout the day.

Sara McCracken, Head of Marketing, Research and Communication for CSSC, was also at Regent House for results day, and added,

“Thank you to Mr Carville for allowing both myself and Cool FM to visit the school on such an exciting day.  It was great to hear about students' future plans, and CSSC wishes them every success for the future.”
