A powerful story about bullying set in a superhero school where every pupil has a unique power, their winning film portrays the rivalry between two speed-powered students named Speedy and Quicklight. The story follows how Speedy, after having his supercharged trainers stolen, ultimately chooses forgiveness over revenge, restoring harmony to Park School.

Teacher Jon McKinley, who appears in the film as "Super Tea" said: "To think that we were just making a movie before Christmas and now they've just won an award, it's pretty unbelievable."

The film was written, produced and edited by the pupils with support from Into Film experts Will McConnell and Michael MacBroom. During the production, the school was transformed into a superhero training ground with 11 pupils taking acting roles.

Bernie Davis, Principal, Park School, said she was "totally overjoyed for the children" who were "shocked" by their success.

The Into Film Awards celebrate creativity in schools across the UK, promoting film education and recognising emerging talent in the next generation of filmmakers.

The controlled education sector is the largest, most diverse education sector in Northern Ireland comprising 49% of all schools across all phases: nursery, special, primary, secondary, grammar, integrated and Irish medium schools.
