As the current programme is nearing completion and with a highly successful first year for the mTech.Academy, it’s time to look ahead to the next school year.

RH Students Going into Space

mTech.Academy is expanding and rolling out its programme for Year 10, with 10 additional schools in Northern Ireland. With this expansion, delivery will include problem-based learning to 600 students and provide continuing professional development for 140 head teachers, middle leaders and careers leaders at 20 schools across the country.

Two controlled schools, Abbey Community College and Regent House Grammar School, took part in 2018/19 programme. The opportunity to participate in the programme was both rewarding and relevant for pupils and supported their decision-making in looking at career choices and pathways in the digital world.

mTech.Academy is now accepting applications for the 2019/20 academic year and all interested schools are encouraged to apply. Submissions will be open until Friday 7 June.

Criteria for selection will focus on ensuring geographic, gender, religious and socio-economic diversity across the mTech.Academy programme.

School selection for the 2019/20 academic year will be completed by Friday 14 June and the curriculum will commence in October 2019.

mTech.Academy looks forward to partnering with local schools in transforming the educational experience for Northern Ireland students.
