Ministers visit shared education success in Limavady
The Limavady Shared Education Campus is committed to providing a nurturing environment where pupils can thrive academically and socially. The campus is a leading example of shared education and inclusion in action in the Limavady community, following decades of cooperation between Limavady High School and St. Mary’s High School.
Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Fleur Anderson MP, and East Londonderry MP Gregory Campbell visited Limavady Shared Education Campus recently to see its positive community impact.
The ministers toured the facilities, engaging with pupils, teachers and community members, observing how shared education brings students from different backgrounds together to form friendships and access broader learning opportunities.
Darren Mornin, Principal, Limavady High School said:
"We are delighted to have both Ms. Anderson and Mr Campbell visit the campus. The visit underscores the importance of Shared Education in fostering a cohesive and supportive community. We are proud of the strides we have made and look forward to continuing our work in promoting educational excellence and social harmony."
CSSC continues to support our children and young people being educated together and believes that shared education is critical in our changing society.
