GCSE results day – a milestone for controlled school pupils
After months of hard work, pupils across the controlled sector will today, Thursday 23 August, receive their GCSE results and make decisions about their future.
CSSC Chief Executive Barry Mulholland congratulated pupils on their achievements saying,
Receiving GCSE results is a major milestone and I would like to congratulate pupils of controlled schools on their achievements, and wish them every success for the future and in the decisions they make after today.
Teachers, principals and school staff must also be commended for their ongoing commitment and dedication to pupils. Their role is fundamental in inspiring young people and ensuring they are supported to reach their full potential.
Controlled schools provide a wide range of educational pathways and opportunities for pupils to ensure they have the skills they will need for the future. Indeed, recently CSSC showcased a range of controlled schools and the steps they have taken to enhance educational outcomes for their pupils.”
