CSSC staff take on the Cave Hill challenge

Controlled Schools’ Support Council staff are putting their best foot forward on Friday 16 November in aid of Cancer Focus NI, CSSC’s charity partner of the year.

A team of 11 CSSC staff are taking part in the Moonlit Walk challenge to climb Cave Hill in the dark, within two hours, with just their torches and the light of the moon to guide them.

CSSC Head of Marketing, Research and Communication Sara McCracken said

Cancer Focus NI provides incredible support to local patients and their families.  This event will help us raise much needed funds to support this local charity’s work.

We are undertaking the Moonlit Walk in memory of Pearse McCormick, one of our founding members of staff, and hope to raise over £800 for this challenge.

CSSC has already raised £400 for the charity through a coffee morning and ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ competition.
