I welcomed the invitation to meet with the Permanent Secretary of the Department of Education Mr Derek Baker, the Chief Executive of the Education Authority Mr Gavin Boyd and Mervyn Storey MLA,” said CSSC Chief Executive Barry Mulholland.

CSSC has been well received by the controlled sector, and I am looking forward to working collaboratively with colleagues at the Education Authority and the Department.

The diversity of the controlled education sector, comprising 48% of all schools and including nursery, primary post primary, special, integrated and Irish medium schools, is one of its strengths.

As CSSC approaches the end of its first year in operation, it will continue to build on its work to date and to advocate on behalf of the controlled sector.
