Commenting, Darren Mornin, Principal, Limavady High School principal said,

“The realisation of this shared campus, which will be the first in Northern Ireland, is recognition of the long tradition of sharing between both schools dating back to the 1970s. The delivery of a state of the art STEM, Sixth Form Centre, Drama and Careers hub will enhance the facilities in both schools and will provide educational benefits for all our pupils and indeed the wider community.

“We were one of the first projects announced in 2014 to progress to the planning stage. After many meetings and seven years later it is fantastic to finally see the work begin and we are hoping that it will be completed by 2023.”

The project represents an investment of over £11million by the Department of Education across the Limavady High School and St. Mary’s High School sites.
