Back to school

As the new school term commences Education Minister, Michelle McIlveen and Mark Baker, Chief Executive, Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) visited Dundonald Primary School. They were welcomed by Principal, Julian Byers.

Dundonald Primary School visit

Dundonald Primary School is the second largest controlled primary school in Northern Ireland. The school is diverse, includes pupils of 30 different nationalities and has embedded children’s rights into the school’s practice and ethos. They are a Gold “Rights Respecting School” which is the highest award given to schools by UNICEF.

It continues to be a challenging time for staff, pupils, families and the wider controlled schools’ community. We are delighted to witness pupils returning as the new school term begins and wish everyone well in the year ahead.

CSSC continues to be here to provide support. If we can be of assistance in any way, please contact your Schools’ Support Officer.
