Principal Maria Quinn was thrilled that 63% of students achieved 3+ A*- C grades, and an outstanding 85% gained an A* - C grade.

The school was celebrating again just one week later when GCSE results were released, with 57% of students achieving at least 5+ A*-C grades.

This was an incredible 16% improvement on last year and a 14 % increase on 5+ A*- C grades including English and Maths.

Principal Maria Quinn said

The smiling, happy faces of students, staff and parents reflected success across a wide variety of academic and vocational courses at both GCSE and A-level.

The Abbey family is hugely proud of all our students and their amazing achievements, which is testament to high quality teaching, the support and encouragement of staff and their hard work and commitment.

These excellent results reflect not only the ability of our young people, but also their commitment and strength of character.

They thoroughly deserve their success and have certainly made our school motto ‘Believe, Achieve, Succeed’ a reality.
