  6. Ballymoney Model Integrated Primary School - I can sing a rainbow

    In November, Ballymoney Model Integrated Primary School celebrated ‘Friendship Week’ in their school and linked this to the symbol of a rainbow.

  7. Ballyclare Secondary School Monopoly Board PE challenge!

    Covid-19 led to the closure of schools and created an unprecedented and uncertain time for staff and pupils of all schools including Ballyclare Secondary School.  Principal Kathryn Bell shares one idea that the PE Department came up with to keep Key Stage 3 pupils engaged and keeping active.

  8. Coleraine College student’s French success

    Year 9 pupils at Coleraine College were set a challenge by Mme Skobel, Head of French and Ms Black, French remote learning co-ordinator as part of their home learning to use an online tool ‘The Language Nut’ to support their language skills during lockdown.

    Margaret-Anne Christie has written about her experience of taking part in the Engaging with sign – a language for you and me programme in the British Association of Teachers of the Deaf Magazine (BATOD). 

  10. Supporting Learning

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) continues to support the interests of controlled schools in the context of the Covid 19 outbreak through its involvement in the Continuity of Learning Project, which was initiated by the Department of Education in late March 2020.
