The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) education team recently met with the education team from the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) at Stranmillis University College, Belfast.

On Saturday 8 February 2020, Year 13 students from Antrim Grammar School (AGS) organised and ran a community Pop Up Restaurant. It was the first of its kind in Northern Ireland within a school setting!

Newtownhamilton High School has produced excellent GCSE results according to the newly published Department of Education figures for the 15/16 academic year.

CSSC continues to work in collaboration with other educational partners to ensure a single focus on COVID-19 and a coordinated approach to school support.

Both the Department of Education (DE) and Education Authority (EA) are providing and continually updating COVID-19 guidance and FAQ responses.

The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) is working closely with colleagues from the Education Authority, the Education and Training Inspectorate and the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools in the C-19 Cross Organisational Team set up to provide support to school leaders as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A round of applause for the controlled school sector, showcasing community spirit and strength in supporting pupils during these unprecedented times.
