Maddison Mitchell Year 9 French achievement

It didn’t take Maddison Mitchell long to attain a spot in the top 5 (only a week) which is quite an accomplishment considering 100,000 other students learning at home from around the world are using this online tool.

A spokesperson from Coleraine College commented:

“On Monday morning, the French Department introduced our students to The Language Nut, a remote learning tool, and by Friday Madison was in the Top 0.01% globally with the support and encouragement from her friends, and teachers. We are very proud of her effort, her success and her ability to make a plan, and make it happen.”

Maddison added: “Language Nut is an amazing online website where you can learn all different types of languages. I’m happy that my teacher introduced Language Nut as it has improved my French so much in only a week!

“I decided to try the website which I’m glad I did. There are approximately 100,000 students on the website so I gave myself a target to aim for the top 10. I spent hours and hours doing tests because I was determined to reach the top 10. The best part of it is that you can learn French but in a fun way.

“This website has taught me how to spell and speak in French. I’m still improving each day. I have had loads of support from my friends, family and staff at school.”
