  1. Banbridge Academy “extremely impressive” GCSE results

    Banbridge Academy has once again achieved extremely impressive GCSE results today, Thursday, 22 August 2019.

  2. Abbey students achieve their best results ever!

    Abbey Community College students have excelled themselves once again on GCSE results day. The upward trend in overall results has continued again this year, with a staggering 96% of the Year 12 students achieving the all important, 5+A*- C grades. 

  3. Celebration at Ballyclare High School on GCSE results day

    Once again GCSE students at Ballyclare High have done exceptionally well. This year all pupils have been examined in new courses and grade boundaries have been recalibrated across the province with the award of fewer top grades. Despite that, pupils have maintained the consistently high standards.

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) is delighted to announce Cancer Focus Northern Ireland as its charity partner for 2018-2019.

  5. Collaboration to bring focus to controlled schools’ issues

    The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) and Education Authority (EA) have today, Monday 14 May 2018, affirmed their collaborative approach to partnership working by publishing a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

  6. Call for ideas for BTYSTE 2019

    BT is urging students to start developing their ideas for the 2019 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE).

  7. The Armstrong Primary are McCloy Cup Champions

    The Armstrong Primary School girls' hockey team was crowned Northern Ireland champions and McCloy Cup winners at Stormont on 18 April.

  8. CSSC Council meeting in Omagh

    CSSC member school, Omagh Academy, was host to the most recent Council meeting on Thursday 19 April 2018.

  9. Ethos and shared education in Limavady High School

    CSSC is currently exploring ethos in controlled schools through a working group, research project and most recently a conference.  Darren Mornin, Principal of Limavady High School has since reflected on the ethos the school community aspires to and has shared his thoughts with us.

  10. Official opening of the Holmes Wing at Ballymoney High School

    CSSC Chief Executive, Barry Mulholland was delighted to attend the official opening of the Holmes Wing at Ballymoney High School on Tuesday 5 December.
