All participating students received medals in recognition of completing 30 hours of shared education activities through the ASPIRE programme. There was clear enthusiasm from the children themselves, with many expressing a strong desire to continue their involvement in cross-community activities.

Jones Memorial Primary School recently hosted a special celebration event where pupils showcased their collaborative work to parents, family members and friends. The event featured impressive displays of student creativity, including Minecraft videos, fabric quilts depicting famous local landmarks and a jointly produced story writing book.

A highlight of the partnership has been the creation of a shared song titled "Island Town," celebrating Enniskillen's unique geography and heritage.

The ASPIRE programme is supported by PEACEPLUS, which is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The initiative aims to promote sustained contact between children and young people from all backgrounds across Northern Ireland, fostering understanding and building positive relationships.

This collaboration between Jones Memorial Primary School and Holy Trinity Primary School demonstrates how shared education can effectively bring together young people to learn about their common heritage while celebrating their diverse perspectives.

CSSC continues to support our children and young people being educated together and believes that shared education is critical in our changing society.
