Creative remote learning

Teachers across the country have found creative ways to adapt their teaching. Pupils have had to adjust to a different learning environment and parents have had to juggle like never before.  

Like many schools, Dunclug Primary School have adopted a ‘blended approach’ to remote learning, offering their families both written home learning packs and also online learning via programmes such as Bug Club Reading, Mathletics numeracy and See-Saw.

As the school community settles into this more sustainable and longer period of home learning, the need to foster a sense of community at a distance has never been more important. Schools are working hard to maintain this sense of pupil belonging and teacher presence. Interaction has never been more important between teachers, parents/carers and pupils, between teaching and non-teaching staff, between the school and the wider community it serves.
