Education Minister visits Banbridge Academy as the school reopens
This week Robin McLoughlin, Principal, Banbridge Academy, welcomed pupils back to school for the start of the new academic year, acknowledging it had been an extremely challenging time for young people across Northern Ireland.
Mr McLoughlin also welcomed the Minister, Mr Peter Weir MLA, to the Academy and thanked him for taking the time to speak to Upper Sixth pupils.
The Academy has developed a number of protocols and procedures for pupils and parents based on the Department of Education’s recently revised New School Day guidance.
The Minister and Mr McLoughlin wished the students every success in the year ahead, whilst acknowledging the challenges. Further to this both committed to doing their very best to ensure pupils receive the high quality education they deserve in order to progress along their chosen career path.
