CSSC congratulates King's Birthday Honours recipients

The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) congratulates all those from the education sector recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list. Honours are given to people from all walks of life and all sections of society who have made a difference to their community.

Controlled schools are embedded in their communities, promoting and raising awareness of the diverse and inclusive nature of the sector. CSSC congratulate all the controlled schools representatives who have served their schools and community and are being recognised today.  CSSC also extend congratulations to all the recipients in the King’s Birthday Honours list who have worked in or contributed to educating children and young people in the controlled sector.

Recipients include:

  • Mrs Sharon Jane Tennant, Lately Principal, Sandelford Special School 
  • Mrs Catherine Elizabeth Humphrey, Principal, Groggan Primary School who has been awarded an MBE for services to Education in Northern Ireland.
  • Mrs Veronica Hammersley, School Crossing Patrol Officer who has been awarded a BEM for services to the community in Glengormley.
  • Mrs Dorothy Ann Moore, School Secretary, Crumlin Integrated Primary School who has been awarded a BEM for services to Education.
