CSSC School Support Officer, Tracey Woods attended the event, where number of public agencies were represented and pupils manned stalls engaged in promoting healthy eating, relaxation techniques and exercise as tools to maintain positive mental health.

This was a great event and I received a fabulous welcome.

The school’s commitment to the pupils’ pastoral care is excellent and they are continuing to take steps to increase the pupils’ awareness of how to cope with issues such as exam stress, self-esteem and internet safety.

I particularly enjoyed meeting sixth form pupil Daniel Ritchie. Daniel benefited from the YMCA’s support in dealing with emotional issues and he now volunteers with the organisation helping to support other young people in similar situations.

'Take 5' is a Public Health Agency initiative.
