The Department of Education is consulting on proposals to establish a new organisation to support controlled schools. This is the most significant and critical opportunity in decades to shape how controlled schools are managed and supported.

Who should take part

Everyone with an interest in controlled schools, including principals, teachers, governors, parents, young people and the wider community are encouraged to share their views.

School leaders who participated in the Ministerial Taskforce on support for controlled schools have issued a Joint Letter urging all controlled school principals, governors, and the wider school community to respond to the consultation. You can read the Joint Letter here.

Background

The Department of Education is consulting on proposals to establish a new organisation to support controlled schools.
