A Trauma-Informed Approach 2025 2026
A Trauma-Informed Approach explores the prevalence and impact of adversity and trauma on children and young people’s development and wellbeing. This session considers the critical role of the school environment emphasising the importance of relationships and the presence of emotionally available adults in fostering a sense of security and support.
Participants will examine the PACE approach, — Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy — as a key strategy for nurturing positive connections and supporting children and young people effectively. The module also considers how adopting a trauma-sensitive approach can enhance the resilience of those who work with our children and young people ensuring that staff feel supported in their roles.
