Raising the profile of controlled schools workshops

The Controlled Schools’ Support Council invited Principals and senior school leaders to a series of communications and media workshops designed to enable controlled schools to become confident about promoting themselves to their target audiences across a variety of channels.

Using a strategic communications approach, these workshops took participants through how to set objectives, identify their audience, develop their message and what tactics they should use to raise the profile and build the reputation of their school.

Sara McCracken, Head of Marketing Communications and Research, CSSC lead the workshops and was joined by Nigel Gould, Head of News and Sport, Cool FM,  who demystified the media and outlined what makes a good story.
