Mr Mornin, Principal, commented,

“Schools are measured on the progress that pupils make from when they arrive in Year 8 until they leave in Year 12.  I believe the results achieved today are a reflection of the high quality teaching and learning that takes place at the school.

“I would also to like pay tribute to staff and pupils for their hard work and commitment; today is the reward for their ambition and application.  Results in English and Mathematics continue to be very good, as were results in all our subjects across the curriculum.

“It has always been our aim to create a school environment where pupils are nurtured and supported to achieve the best possible outcomes at each stage of their education, enabling them to reach their full potential whilst becoming positive contributors to the local community.

“The school has a long established reputation of providing a high quality educational experience for all young people in a supportive and caring environment; this is apparent by the results today and one of the many reasons that has led to the school’s popularity growing over the past number of years.”

Mr Mornin continued, “Staff have worked unbelievably hard and their tremendous commitment has made the difference for so many of our students.  I would also like to pay tribute to the parents of each child who have worked in partnership with us over the past five years to ensure that their child realises their full potential.

“We are delighted that yet another cohort of talented students has achieved a great set of results.  Many of our students are now well placed to avail of our very successful sixth form provision before moving onto university.  We are also very proud of those students who are continuing with their education at the local college and to those who have secured employment and apprenticeships.”
