Dromore Principal delighted with exam success

Everyone in Dromore High was in celebratory mode for the second time in the space of a week. On Thursday 24 August, they celebrated the schools best ever set of GCSE results to accompany their record breaking A-level results last week.

The percentage of pupils achieving the benchmark of five A*-C grades at GCSE is an outstanding 76%, bettering the previous best of 70%.

Principal, Mr McConaghy offered his heartfelt congratulations to all the pupils on their fantastic outcomes.

A tremendous amount of effort is required to secure grades at this level and we pay tribute to everyone who has worked so hard.

Everyone connected with our school community delights and shares in this success; our hard working pupils, dedicated teachers and support staff who have gone the extra mile for their pupils, parents who have supported their children and the school resolutely over the past years and committed governors.

Many of our pupils will now be joining us in our highly successful sixth form to continue their studies at A-level. Some are continuing their vocational studies at FE colleges and others are moving into employment.

In keeping with our school ethos we value and congratulate all of the pupils equally on their success and wish them God’s blessing and further success in the future.
