Chief Executive Barry Mulholland commented:

Shared education provides the opportunity for pupils from different backgrounds to come together, forging new friendships, experiences and a broader range of learning opportunities.

CSSC welcomes the opportunity to celebrate and promote the many shared education projects controlled schools are involved in.

The provision of shared education benefits the educational experience of children and young people in Northern Ireland. We encourage controlled schools to get involved in Shared Education Week and showcase the range of inspiring projects which are being delivered within the sector.

Across the controlled sector a variety of shared education projects exist. You can find examples such as Magherafelt High SchoolKilkeel High School and Limavady High School
