Aughnacloy Primary gains prestigious UNICEF rights award

Congratulations to CSSC member school Aughnacloy Primary School on gaining the Unicef UK Level 2 Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA).

This prestigious award  is granted by Unicef UK to schools that have fully embedded children’s rights throughout the school in its policies, practice and ethos, and Aughnacloy Primary School is one of only 27 schools’ in Northern Ireland to achieve RSSA Level 2.

To celebrate the achievement, Ulster and Ireland Rugby player Rory Best presented the award at a special assembly on 23 October 2017.

Level 2 is the highest level of RSSA possible, which is gained after earning the Recognition of Commitment and Level 1 RRSAIn order to be successful, the school was assessed by two Unicef UK RRSA assessors.
